We are glad to announce that all preparations for WordCamp Kampala 2019 which starts this morning are complete!The venue is Hive Colab, 4th floor Kanjokya House, Kamwokya.Directions from Town to the venue by public transport are as follows:

• Disemberk from Kampala road near church house there are taxis to Kamwokya charging UGX 1,000/-
• When you reach Kobil Kamwokya stage, get a boda to Kanjokya House at UGX 1000 stil/- Our camp shall be inside HiveColab on 4th floor.

If you are traveling using your own means, you move from Kampala – Wandegeya – Mulago – Kamwokya road, then turn towards Kanjokya street at the Kobil Kamwokya junction.Or you can pass via Lugogo Bypass to shortly after Kololo SS then branch off to Kanjokya streetWe encourage all members who have finished booking tickets from 2019.kampala.wordcamp.org to arrive by 8am for registration. Can I attend for only one day and pay half fees?

You can attend only one day but the workshop fee will remain the same regardless of the number of days attended.As you may realize, the WordCamp is a highly subsided event. In reality, the fee paid by the participants only takes care of a small item such as the t-shirts, but the rest of the costs including food, venue and Public address systems, media, etc are met by our community sponsors.
This year’s WordCamp is mainly sponsored by WooCommerce, Jetpack, Bluehost, HubSpot, GoDaddy and Digital blend.The subsidised general ticket fee is only $5 or UGX 20,000.

Will certificates be made for participants?

Yes, participants who wish to have certificates will be noted upon arrival and arrangements for thier certificates will be made.

I am an absolute begginner. Will there be time for us to be helped on how to get started?

Yes, we have planned 3 tracks: One for beginners, one for business and one for advanced users. We also have a number of volunteers ready to give 1 on 1 help to beginners.

I didn’t pay in advance, can come and pay from the gate?

Yes, you can come and pay from the gate. You will be allowed to attend, but we can not assure you that you will get tshirt and other logistics because we have prepared them for those who confirmed attendance by making advance payments. Top priority will be given to paid up members.
